Evolution of Terrestrial Animal Health Surveillance in Canada

The CEZD-IIR (Centre for Emerging and Zoonotic Diseases – Integrated Intelligence Response) project (2013-2016), led by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) was focused on applying innovative new approaches towards the enhancement of public and animal health intelligence via the leveraging of early warning signals.  As an industry partner on the project, TDV Global Inc. consultants were actively involved in examination and analysis of Canada’s past, existing and future health surveillance and intelligence capabilities.  As part of this effort, Subject Matter Experts Dr. Wayne Lees and Mr. Cameron Prince conducted research that was summarized in the following “Special Report on Canada's Animal Health Surveillance". See article below.
